Minimum standard requirements for all operators
Due to our emphasis on safety L.E. Walker Transport is always interested in hiring good AZ drivers
who have excellent driving records. All prospective new drivers must comply with the following criteria in order to
be considered for employment or to be an owner operator with L.E. Walker Transport:
- Submit to a controlled, pre-employment test for controlled substances and must have a negative test result
- Meet minimum standards for insurability (21 years of age)
- Have at least a minimum of one-year Class AZ driving experience (preferred)
- Furnish a clean driver abstract, including a clean criminal search
- Furnish a personal Commercial Vehicle Operating Registration (CVOR) with no more than four demerit points
- Pass the LE Walker Transport Ltd. road test.
Note: Owner operators and contractors must also maintain their own out of country medical coverage or their own
coverage through WSIB and provide proof of insurance to LE Walker Transport.
