Summer BBQs
All summer at L.E. Walker Transport the social committee puts on a summer BBQ each month for the Employees & Neighbours. Everyone joins in and sits outside and enjoys the company of each other, food, and the nice summer weather! The BBQs are soo good, even employees from around the area from other companies come to them!
Annual Golf Tournaments
In the month of August, L.E. Walker Transport Ltd. holds their annual golf tournament. This company event is always a big hit. Over 100 employees are put into teams of 4 and play a game of golf. After the 18 holes, there is a steak dinner and awards are given out to the winners and everyone is awarded a prize!
Annual Awards Banquet
L.E. Walker Transport Ltd. honors there employees. Each and every year they hold an annual awards banquet. This banquet consists of a gourmet dinner, awards ceremony and afterwords dancing and socializing. Years of service awards are given to employees for special years. There are also numerous awards operators can win. L.E. Walker Transport values there employees and shows this each and everyday.
Family Fun Day
Family Fun day is a day of fun! This annual event is held at East Park Golf Gardens. L.E. Walker Transport Ltd. rents the water park for there employees and there families to come for a day of waterslides, go karts, games and to end the day a catered picnic. Those who work together, should play together.
Children’s Christmas Party
Ho, Ho, Ho! Is that Santa? Why yes it is! and he is at the L.E. Walker Transport annual kids Christmas party. This annual event is always a blast. Each year there are different activities. Last years Christmas party was at a skating rink. There were clowns, balloons, pizza lunch, candy, and of course a visit from santa who brought all the good little kiddies a present!
Community Sponsor of children’s sports and charities
L.E. Walker Transport Ltd. is a proud sponsor of many childrens community sports and activities. Kids baseball, hockey, soccer and other sports activities. L.E. Walker Transport is also involved in various commmunity events, like the 12 hour relay to rasie money to fight cancer and sponsoring families in need.
Truck Shows and other local events
L.E. Walker Transport Ltd. participates in various truck shows through out the year. The biggest one being the Fergus truck show. With our new equipment and great drivers, we are always bringing in the trophies.
